Pierre Degroote, began winemaking in
Languedoc over 40 years ago. Born in Nivel, Pierre decided in 1969 to leave his native Belgium in order to fulfill a dream of becoming a winemaker. The first vineyard purchased is one of the
oldest in France.
After studying oenology in
Montpellier it was his intent to change the image of Languedoc wine. The goal is to
explore the different soils, select the best plots to produce wines of
very high quality in a spirit of tradition and progress. The acquisition of several
estates and Châteaux has allowed better control the entire production.
