The Four Virtues Zinfandel is from the Lodi region of California's vast Central Valley. It is a region quickly emerging as one of California's most exciting wine destinations.
The Zinfandel is aged in heavily charred Bourbon oak barrels - the
barrels impart nuanced layers of caramel, vanilla and toasty oak to the
wine’s naturally intense
dark berry character. The result is a big, big wine! Robust, deliciously complex and silky smooth.
Intense and full-bodied with red fruit, blackberry and spice. Soft
mouthfeel and tannins with a lingering smoky finish. Bright raspberry,
cherry and juicy blackberry with hints of caramel, vanilla and toasty
oak.
Aged with French and American oak, then finished in heavily charred Bourbon barrels.
