The Glenfiddich Malt Master's Edition was named for the distillery's sixth Malt Master, Brian Kinsman, as he was their first Malt Master to double-mature Glenfiddich whisky in two different casks. This expression was initially matured in traditional rich oak casks, but was then finished in fruity Sherry casks to further develop the flavours. The result? Sorbet flavours that slowly turn to spice, softening into subtle notes of plum and warm fruitcake with a silky, smooth finish.
Glenfiddich means Valley of the Dear in Gaelic; a Scottish valley perfect for making malts. Robbie Dhu spring water flows there, adding freshness, the backbone of their whisky. The cool microclimate ages their malts slower, bringing depth and smoothness.
