Bodegas Luis Cañas is a Fourth generation family run winery in
Rioja. Their Crianza Tempranillo is aged for over 12 months in French and American oak barrels; its packed with fruit and wrapped in a silky, oak laced layer of flavour that is almost uniquely Rioja. On the palate,the wine is smooth and lush with sweet tannins, ripe red and blue fruits, spice and savoury nuances.
This wine is made with Tempranillo (95%) and a small amount of Grenache (5%), which gives it a more fruity character. The grapes used to make Luis Cañas Crianza come from vineyards with an average age of 30 years. After the grapes are harvested, they ferment at a controlled temperature of 26ºC for 20 days.
