This vineyard was planted pre-1919 at the bottom of the hill side at
Coriole. This is a very exciting release and one of the most complete
and composed wines ever from this vineyard. Yields were low in 2018 and
our total production was 9 barrels or 280 dozen.
"100+yo vines on original rootstock. A concentrated wine with an
impressive thrust of vinosity. A firm chassis of alloyed tannin and
salty acidity corral blue/black-fruit aspersions, smoked-meat
barrel-ferment aromas and iodine into a sheath of power and tension. The
oak, nestled into the fray. This will live long. 96 points"

"Deep to opaque ruby-red core and rim. Dark berries, olives and
wakame aromas. Deep and weighted on the palate, A big wine but very well
built with intense fruit and rich savoury umami nuances. A firm tannin
profile accentuates the savoury characters and drives it very long. 95
