One of the classic Shiraz wines of Australia for me. Speaks of place. Cellars well. Not too expensive.
"Ripe, fleshy, plenty of tannin and ironstone, a little aniseed and cedar oak in support, black fruit and cocoa. Full-bodied, maybe some raspberry freshness in with the black fruit, saline, chewy and deep tannin, quite fresh, ferrous with a smattering of fragrant dried herb. Finish is packed with toothsome tannin, and long with it. The chew and earthiness is wonderful. Speaks of place in loud and proud voice. 93+ points" Gary Walsh, The Winefront
