Veuve Ambal specialises in sparkling wine from the Burgundy region in France, but they can't call it Champagne. I try all the time to range what is great quality for an excellent price and have a load of mates that love Champagne and are constantly looking for the perfect sparkling wine that will not break the bank! At this price you get an excellent Champagne style for a whole load less!
This one is made the same way as Champagne, but from a blend of white grapes, including chardonnay. It's quite fine with a bead that excites and is delicate in style, with aromas of citrus and honeysuckle. The palate is quite dry with a stone fruit centre, and a lively mineral finish. It's amazing value for a touch of the exotic and is likely to become your firm favourite.
